Municipal solid waste (MSW) recycling Municipal solid waste treatment and recycling machines

Recovery of raw materials

Municipal solid waste includes all those non-recyclable and combustible wastes from households, as well as all MSW-like wastes from industries and handicrafts.
Their treatment and recycling is aimed at the recovery of raw materials.

The proposed machines and plants aim to separate and recover high quality municipal and industrial recyclable materials suitable for market needs and energy valorization of the non-recyclable dry fraction (RDF).

Automatic and manual sorting

MSW is separated through an automatic sorting system with various types of equipment: from disc screens for the organic fraction, to ballistic separators, magnets, eddy current separators, and a manual sorting system operated by operators at fix stations.

The non-recyclable dry fraction is conveyed for grinding and reduction to a size such that it can be used as a Residual derived fuel (RDF).
